Hin Thor Chinese Restaurant Panchor, Johor

Went all the way to this small fishing village to eat deep fried river prawns. This little town is on the way to Pagoh from Muar about 33km if you follow the Jln Muar towards Pagoh. From the North South Highway,  you exit at Pagoh , driving to the direction to Muar. You will see the signboards leading to this sleepy hollow town.Signal to turn right when you see a large chinese temple. This whole village is situated along the river of Muar.

Their signature dishes...
River Prawns... fresh ,succulent and yummy!
Sotong kangkung lace with generous helping of satay sauce
 Steam otak otak with egg
Steam bawal fish with soya and cili padi (freshhh)

Dinner for 5 cost us RM117. Not bad...

GPS coordinates : N02°10.358' E102°42.761'
My Verdict: 7/10 (nice enough for a short food trip! im still thinking about the prawns and the otak *salivating*)

Ching Kee Restaurant Sungai Burong

If you are interested in a weekend get away . A few hours drive to village area. You can travel through the trunk roads to this small little fishing village. There is a few chinese restaurants hee which each have different authentic seafood served. On a family trip to visit my grandma we visited this restaurant in Bagan Sungai Burong. They serve fresh osyters collected locally... fresh ones- add a splash of lime juice, a little of special chili sauce and garlic flakes ...and slurp you go! :) ( Chewy chewy tasty tasty...) Its Rm 2 for 1.
Crabbssss...Stir fry crabs with Shallots and leeks ( a little different from the usual.Very fragrant with peanut crumbs)

Claypot seafood... very yummy ( very rich, sweet,a little spice (kick) & fragrant with wine)

Osyter Omelette( o chien) ... a little too starchy for my liking but plenty of mini osyters dont feel yucky when eating it...

Cheap off season but prices here may double during high season/festivities.
Verdict: I have always wanted to come here again... the soup n oysters are my favourite here.

Tong Sheng for Steamboat and Seafood

Went to this restaurant at Melaka Raya for steamboat initially but as we entered this restaurant we saw tables and tables having crabs! Hence after a glance in the menu we decided to go for Seafood instead!

Their recommended dish was good- Milk Cheese Crab super yummyz.Crab was fresh and fleshy around RM 55 per kg. Then we also had the Horlick prawns mixed with spicy salty prawns was also finger licking... the house special toufu was dissapointing so was the mongolian pork belly. Besides that we had a plate of 'Fried Sang Mee' which was very tasty! The bill came up to about rm26 pp for 6 ppl.

Overall, I would definetely recommend this place and go again to try out... but service is a bit slow so be prepare to wait during peak time!
