Mama's Kitchen, Famous Claypot Lou Su Fan, TTDI

Ah choo, everytime I pass along ttdi to go to my bf's place I would see this shop packed with people. So one fine evening I decided to give the FAMOUS a try...
So we ordered the famous lou su fan in claypot and some fried sui kau...

First hot pipping try... was very smooth leh.... the longer we ate... the yuckier it tasted ... was a mesh of blended pork on top of lou su fan... i think danau kota food court one tasted leaps and bounds better. Next was sui kau.... was next to nothing special... ampang yong tau foo wan is still the best! Disappointing...2 noodles and a plate of sui kau and 2 drinks cost us almost RM 50... Either my tastebuds are weird or the patrons are weird....

My verdict: if u see this shop please stay far away... although it reads FAMOUS!

Ice town is in Melaka, taman kota laksamana

First time I've heard of ice town was in Muar when i visited my sister. So now there is a branch in this new place at taman kota laksamana ,new shop lots facing bei zhan! Mango snow ice is my favs! Besides snow ice they also serve snack food and also malaysian dishes. I tried their butter cream chicken which was very yummy but the portion was tat small for RM 7.90 but the sauce was awesome that they should make butter crab with it!!!

Interiorly, nice and simple deco. Service was also okay. I will definetely go back for somemore snow ice and its a nice place to hang out with friends besides the old kopitiam and mamak! but again obviously have to pay more la for the dessert and aircon...

verdict: 7/10 will be back. nice dessert and hang out place.

Casa Cucina, Modern Italian Restaurant, Taman Kota Laksamana Melaka

Yesterday night went out with a bunch of colleagues to celebrate my belated birthday! Accidentally bought 2 different cakes from Yeast bakery and 1 more is still sitting inside my fridge!

So there is a new restaurant serving semi fine dining just opened at Kota Laksamana, the new block/row behind Kesington and Kota Laksamana food court. Very new, chick and modern. Menu wise still limited choices I guess they are still improving themselves! Food wise, pasta was yummy just al dente! Roast chicken and roast fish was also good. Food presentation classy! Starters of pumpkin soup and brushetta was also good. If you want to go on a date and need a new dinner place here may be one of your choice. Price wise is affordable comparable to Kesington minus the noise and slow service.

 The environment
Pan fried seabass served with roasted potatoes
 Pumpkin soup
 Roasted Chicken with wine sauce
So far they have chicken, pasta and fish for mains. They just added beef and lamb as well (not on the menu yet)

My verdict: 8/10 will definitely go back again (p/s drink can be a bit pricey)

How to get there, from mahkota parade- take the flyover going towards klebang... at the traffic light turn right then turn left again at the shops go to the end and turn right...if you see kesington restaurant and food court you may have just miss the turning in!

Voices Music Cafe, Taman Merdeka Permai

Dear Voices Music Cafe,

Your outlook was very attractive and that was what caught my  attention to come to you. Once I sat down and start examining your every aspect (menu) I find that you are quite pricey but nevermind I shall see what class can you bring to my dining table. I simply ordered a mushroom soup, spaghetti and also a sausage. Simple enough.
First came the mushroom soup, it tasted like it was out of the can plus extra salt. I think Campbell won the battle! Next was my pasta, the portion was not justified by its price, even secret recipe portions are bigger!!! Lastly came the sausage which was served 20 minutes after the pasta... was OK but  not filling. So I proposed that this was my last date with you. You are just pretty on the outside and hollow on the inside with poor inner beauty in all fields.

 The reason why....(judge yourself)
 Exterior Deco

RM 15 for this!

My 2 cents : Don't come here. The big mouth cafe next door had more patrons!

Snowtime Bukit Beruang

There is a new cafe in town, just open last month. The cafe's concept is somewhat like the famous snowflakes. They offer arrange of snowflakes like desserts with some other western food such as american breakfast, pastas and snacks. They also have 'tong shuis'. Selection here is quite limited. Cozy place but limited seating place. Service is average. Food wise= imitation of snowflakes but below snowflakes.

This place is convenient and suitable for hangout or just for desserts if you miss snowflakes. That's the closes you can get. The management team need to maintain some standards in their dessert- chewy balls everytime I go the consistency is somewhat different.

You order by first selecting the base then 4 types of add ons
Verdict: (5/10)Worth a try or a place just to hang out. They close by 12am last order at 11 pm.
They are on facebook if you need more details!
Where: BB Bazaar, Same row as Old town white coffee.

P/s there is another restaurant opening soon beside it!
